“Piaggero,” the name of the NP Series, combines “Piano” with the musical term leggero, meaning “light.” True to its name, both the NP-15 and NP-35 are exceptionally lightweight — even by portable keyboard standards — making them easy to carry wherever you go. Yamaha’s renowned acoustic expertise gives the Piaggero a rich, powerful sound that defies its compact design, delivering resonant grand piano-style bass and beautifully detailed treble. Both models feature the sound of Yamaha’s full concert grand, the CFIIIS, sampled for its bright, transparent character, expansive upper register and solid, balanced tonal depth. The NP-35 is fitted with a larger amplifier than the NP-15, providing deeper bass response and greater overall volume for a more commanding performance.
