Description

The Tanglewood Enredo Madera Dominar EMDC7 combines the warmth and character of a full-size classical guitar with a slimmer, more comfortable thinline body and built-in electronics.

Its cedar top produces a warm and responsive tone with plenty of richness for classical, fingerstyle and more contemporary playing, complemented by sapele back and sides for additional clarity and definition.

The thinline body makes the EMDC7 particularly comfortable to hold for longer playing sessions, while the cutaway provides easier access to the upper frets. Add the onboard Tanglewood TEQ MX system and this becomes a versatile classical guitar that's equally at home during practice, recording or amplified performance.

Finished in Natural Gloss, the EMDC7 offers a smart contemporary take on the traditional nylon-string guitar.

Who Is This For?

The EMDC7 is a particularly good choice for players who enjoy the sound and feel of a nylon-string guitar but want something slimmer and easier to handle than a traditional full-depth classical instrument.

Its thinline cutaway design also makes it attractive to acoustic and electric guitarists moving into nylon-string playing, while the onboard electronics make it much more practical for live performance.

For classical, fingerstyle, flamenco-influenced playing or contemporary amplified nylon-string work, it's a versatile instrument at an accessible price.

Warm Cedar & Sapele Tonewoods

A cedar top gives the EMDC7 its warm, responsive tonal character.

Cedar responds particularly well to a lighter touch, while retaining enough depth and richness when the guitar is played more dynamically. This makes it well suited to expressive fingerstyle and classical playing.

Sapele back and sides complement the cedar with additional definition and balance, producing a rounded sound that works across a broad range of nylon-string styles.

Thinline Comfort with Cutaway Access

The EMDC7 retains a full-size classical format while reducing the depth of the body.

That slimmer profile can make a substantial difference to playing comfort, particularly during longer practice sessions or performances.

A cutaway provides easier access further up the fingerboard, giving the EMDC7 greater flexibility for lead passages and more contemporary playing styles than a traditional non-cutaway classical guitar.

Ready to Amplify

The integrated Tanglewood TEQ MX electronics allow the EMDC7 to connect directly to a suitable acoustic amplifier, PA system or recording setup.

It's an important addition for performers who want the character of a nylon-string guitar without relying entirely on an external microphone, making the EMDC7 equally useful at home, in the studio or on stage.
