Design Influence

The KF-25 draws on a combination of Scandinavian and Japanese design principles. Often referred to as Japandi, this approach blends the simplicity and restraint of Japanese wabi-sabi with the functional clarity of Scandinavian design.

The result is a structured, minimalist form with warm wood grain textures that complement calm, modern living spaces.

Construction & Joinery

The KF-25 features a square, linear design and incorporates the traditional sashimono joinery technique, where boards are joined at right angles without the use of nails. This method provides structural strength while supporting the clean lines and refined appearance of the cabinet.

While the KIYOLA cabinet incorporates hand-crafted solid wood, manufactured wood is used in areas where the cabinet interfaces directly with electronic or mechanical components. This improves stability and reduces the risk of warping caused by changes in humidity or temperature.
