Description

The Yamaha Clavinova CLP-825 brings the expressive touch and rich sound of an acoustic grand piano into an elegant digital instrument designed for the home.

At its heart is Yamaha's GrandTouch-S keyboard, providing a natural, responsive playing experience with synthetic ebony and ivory keytops and an escapement mechanism. Combined with Yamaha's advanced Grand Expression Modeling and Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), the CLP-825 responds dynamically to subtle changes in touch and technique.

Two world-renowned concert grand pianos are at your fingertips: the powerful Yamaha CFX and the warm, expressive Bösendorfer Imperial. Yamaha's binaural sampling technology also creates a natural, immersive experience when practising through headphones.

Finished in attractive Rosewood, the CLP-825 combines traditional Clavinova styling with Bluetooth Audio and MIDI, Smart Pianist compatibility and a range of useful practice features.

Who Is This For?

The CLP-825 is an excellent choice for pianists who want the feel and musical response of a quality acoustic piano while retaining the convenience of a modern digital instrument.

It's particularly well suited to developing players, families, returning pianists and more experienced musicians who want a refined home piano with realistic touch, excellent grand piano sounds and the flexibility to practise silently through headphones.

GrandTouch-S Keyboard

The CLP-825 features Yamaha's GrandTouch-S keyboard with 88 weighted keys, synthetic ebony and ivory keytops and an escapement mechanism.

The action has been designed to give the player greater control over dynamics and articulation, helping everything from delicate passages to more powerful playing feel natural and expressive.

Two World-Class Concert Grand Pianos

The CLP-825 gives you the distinctive voices of two celebrated concert grand pianos.

The Yamaha CFX is Yamaha's flagship concert grand, renowned for its clarity, power and expressive tonal range.

Alongside it is the Bösendorfer Imperial, offering a warmer, characteristically rich European piano sound.

Having both instruments available gives you two very different grand piano characters to explore across classical, contemporary and popular repertoire.

Grand Expression Modeling & Virtual Resonance Modeling

An acoustic piano responds differently depending on exactly how a note is played. Yamaha's Grand Expression Modeling recreates these subtle variations, allowing the CLP-825 to respond more naturally to differences in touch and technique.

Virtual Resonance Modeling recreates the complex sympathetic resonances that develop throughout an acoustic piano, including the interaction between strings and the instrument's body.

Together, these technologies give the CLP-825 greater depth, variation and realism as you play.

GrandTouch Pedals

The playing experience continues beneath your feet with Yamaha's GrandTouch pedal system.

Designed to reproduce the resistance and control associated with a grand piano pedal, it helps provide greater control over pedalling and expression as your playing develops.

Immersive Clavinova Sound

The CLP-825 uses 20W + 20W amplification with 12cm speakers and diffusers to deliver a clear, spacious sound throughout the instrument.

Yamaha's acoustic and digital piano expertise work together to create an enjoyable playing experience at home, whether you're practising quietly or performing for family and friends.

Natural Headphone Playing

Headphones are one of the major advantages of owning a digital piano, and Yamaha has paid particular attention to making private practice feel natural.

When using the Yamaha CFX voice, binaural sampling creates a spacious headphone experience that makes the sound feel as though it's coming naturally from the piano rather than simply being delivered directly into your ears.

This makes the CLP-825 particularly useful for evening practice or households where volume needs to be kept under control.

Bluetooth & Smart Pianist

Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to integrate the CLP-825 with compatible smartphones and tablets.

Bluetooth Audio lets you play music through the piano's speaker system, while Bluetooth MIDI provides wireless connectivity with compatible music applications.

Yamaha's Smart Pianist app provides an intuitive way to access compatible piano functions and settings from a smart device.

Practice & Recording

The CLP-825 includes a useful selection of built-in features for lessons and everyday practice.

These include:

• 10 Voice Demo Songs
• 50 Classical Music Masterpieces
• 303 Lesson Songs
• Metronome
• Transpose
• Dual mode
• Duo mode
• 2-track MIDI recording

Whether you're learning independently, working with a teacher or simply returning to the piano, these features give you useful tools without distracting from the CLP-825's core piano experience.
