Accompaniment & Song Creation

Built-in chord progressions allow users to create melodies and arpeggios over automatic musical backing in a variety of styles. Users can also create and customise their own chord sequences, supporting structured songwriting and musical development.

Performance Control & Sound Shaping

As chord progressions play, sounds can be remixed in real time using four variations. Individual elements such as drums, bass, and backing parts can be muted or reintroduced, instruments can be changed, and global effects such as filtering, lo-fi processing, and beat slicing can be applied.

Auto-Accompaniment

GO:KEYS 5 offers dynamic accompaniment styles that respond to one- or two-finger chord input. As technique develops, users can introduce full left-hand chords while continuing to perform melodies and solos with the right hand.

Vocal Input & Effects

A dedicated microphone input allows vocals to be integrated directly into performances. Built-in vocal effects include studio-style reverb, harmony effects that follow chords and accompaniment, and voice transformation effects for creative sound design.

Connectivity & Playback

Audio can be played back via Bluetooth, USB memory, or analogue audio inputs for play-along use. A centre cancel function allows vocals to be reduced for sing-along applications. GO:KEYS 5 also supports Bluetooth MIDI and USB audio/MIDI for use with music software on computers and mobile devices.

Roland Cloud Integration
