Faith FNCEMD FX Neptune Electro Acoustic in Moondust Grey (Inc Hard Case)

The Neptune FX features solid mango wood throughout the body, finished in a moondust grey colour treatment that highlights the natural grain of the wood. As with all-solid exotic tonewoods, each instrument displays unique visual characteristics.

For 2026, a figured maple ergonomic forearm contour has been added to improve playing comfort. This is complemented by matching figured maple binding and a figured maple soundhole rosette, providing a consistent and refined visual finish.

Body Shape & Projection

The Faith Neptune design is inspired by Patrick James Eggle’s Saluda body shape. Referred to as a baby-jumbo, the 16" lower bout delivers strong acoustic output while remaining more compact than a traditional 17" jumbo body.

This Moondust Neptune model features a cutaway, providing improved access to the upper frets while also slightly reducing the overall body size for increased comfort.

Tonewoods & Finish

Mango typically has a light brown base colour. The mango wood sourced from Java, Indonesia, where Faith workshops are based, is generally lighter in tone, allowing lighter colour finishes such as the Moondust treatment to highlight the natural grain patterns more effectively.

Tonally, mango sits between a hardwood and softwood and shares characteristics with mahogany, koa and trembesi. Carefully selected, stiffer pieces are used to ensure balanced response, clarity and projection.

Overall Tone & Build Quality

Finished in a translucent onyx-black lacquer, the instrument highlights flamed maple binding and ebony fittings, each contributing to a distinctive and refined appearance.

Tonally, it delivers a strong upper-bass response with a balanced midrange and a slightly softer high end. This results in a warm, controlled sound with depth and character, setting it apart both visually and sonically.

Electronics

The Neptune FX Moondust is fitted with a Fishman INK3 preamp and Sonicore undersaddle piezo pickup. The flush-mounted, side-mounted preamp features three-band EQ and an integrated tuner for straightforward amplified control.

The output jack, battery compartment and strap button are discreetly combined at the base of the guitar for a clean and practical setup.

Case

This guitar is supplied with a woodshell hardcase featuring a padded plush interior for protection during storage and transport.
