PRS guitars have arrived at The Music Depot in Exeter! We’re delighted to introduce our initial selection of PRS SE electric guitars, with models for a variety of players and budgets.
We’ve been expanding our selection of electric guitars, effects pedals and amplifiers over the past year, and we’re thrilled to welcome PRS as the newest addition.
Our initial line-up includes affordable entry points, modern classics and something a little different.
Starting at £429, our PRS SE CE 24 selection includes Vintage Cherry, Charcoal and Metallic Gold finishes, with tremolo and fixed Stoptail models across the range. It’s an exciting introduction to PRS, offering versatile tones and comfortable playability.
For something with a distinctly vintage-inspired character, the PRS SE NF 53 arrives in Black Doghair or White Doghair. With its distinctive looks and single-coil-inspired voice, it’s a refreshing alternative to more familiar humbucker-equipped designs.
The PRS SE Custom 24 is a modern classic, available here in Black Gold Sunburst and Charcoal Cherry Burst. It combines the unmistakable PRS aesthetic with the tonal versatility that has made the Custom 24 such an enduring favourite.
Completing our initial line-up is the PRS SE Special Semi-Hollow in Orange Tiger Smokeburst. Its semi-hollow construction, striking finish and versatile pickup configuration make it a particularly eye-catching addition to the collection.
From recognisable bird fretboard inlays and elegant body shapes to beautifully figured tops and distinctive finishes, PRS guitars have a look all their own. Underneath the good looks is a serious commitment to tone, playability and attention to detail, with traditional guitar-making influences meeting modern design and continual experimentation.
The story began in the 1970s, when Paul Reed Smith started building guitars in Maryland, USA. After years of refining his designs and attracting the attention of musicians including Carlos Santana, he officially founded PRS Guitars in 1985. Its original flagship production model, the Custom 24, helped establish the brand’s reputation.
In 2001, PRS introduced the SE series, bringing its approach to quality and playability to a wider range of players at a more affordable price. In 2018, the company launched the Silver Sky in collaboration with John Mayer, adding another celebrated design to the PRS family.
Our team already has plenty of experience selling PRS guitars in Exeter, having stocked the brand during our time at the former Musicroom shop on Sidwell Street. It’s fantastic to be reunited with such a prestigious guitar maker, this time in our own independent store at The Music Depot.
Browse our PRS guitar collection or visit our Exeter shop to explore the new range and chat with the team about which model could suit you.
And this is only the beginning! We’ve got some exciting PRS-themed events in the pipeline, so keep an eye on our social media for further announcements.
