Powered by Casio’s Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR Sound Source, the instrument delivers an exceptionally wide range of detailed and expressive tones, including grand piano sounds that capture the rich resonances of an acoustic instrument. The complex overtones produced by all 88 keys, along with the resulting body resonances, are faithfully recreated for a vivid and natural piano tone that subtly evolves over time, responding smoothly to every nuance of the player’s touch—from the lightest passages to powerful, expressive performances.

Sound System

Casio’s advanced Spatial Sound System uses four independently driven full-range speakers housed in a rigid wood/resin composite structure to deliver a rich, room-filling sound. Side Enhancing Diffusers on the outer speakers widen the sound field despite the piano’s slim design, while the Surround function creates a natural sense of space by optimising each speaker’s output. The Hall Simulator/Reverb recreates the acoustics of concert halls and performance venues, and the Piano Position function automatically adjusts sound characteristics based on where the instrument is placed.

Tones

The PX-S6000 features 350 built-in tones, including acoustic and electric pianos, organs, strings, and more. A curated selection of electric piano tones inspired by well-known hit songs adds character and familiarity, while 100 built-in DSP effects provide extensive creative flexibility to shape and enhance every sound.

Keyboard

The Smart Hybrid Hammer Action Keyboard delivers highly expressive playability, responding naturally from the softest touch to powerful keystrokes through a combination of an advanced physical key mechanism and precise digital control technology. Like an acoustic grand piano, the weighted hammer action allows the keys to feel light and responsive during delicate playing while remaining solid and controlled under more forceful performance. The white keys are crafted from a high-quality spruce wood/resin composite material and finished to replicate the natural grain of ivory, while the black keys feature a refined matte finish that closely resembles ebony in both appearance and feel.

Realism is further enhanced by 88-Key Digital Scaling, which individually controls the volume response of each key and varies touch weight across the keyboard, mirroring the behaviour of a grand piano. A ten-step Hammer Response setting allows precise adjustment of sound timing based on touch and register, while three levels of Key Off Response and the Key Off Simulator control how notes decay when keys are released, capturing the subtle nuances of expression that define the PX-S6000 playing experience.

Pedals

The PX-S6000 includes a damper pedal (SP-3), an essential component for expressive piano performance. For enhanced control and greater expressive range, the optional SP-34 three-pedal unit features a continuously variable damper pedal, allowing subtle tonal changes based on pedal depth, similar to an acoustic grand piano.
The included SP-3 pedal connects to the EXPRESSION/ASSIGNABLE jack, while the optional SP-34 three-pedal unit connects to the dedicated PEDAL UNIT jack.

Real-Time Control

Two assignable control knobs provide intuitive, real-time adjustment of key sound parameters such as filter cutoff, resonance, attack and release, as well as DSP effect settings. An assignable CONTROL button enables on-the-fly tone variation while playing, while the Pitch Bend Wheel allows smooth, expressive pitch changes to currently sounding notes. For even greater control, a commercially available expression pedal can be connected and assigned to tone parameters, enabling dynamic, hands-on expression during performance.

Experience

The built-in arpeggiator allows you to play arpeggiated chords and musical phrases simply by holding down keys, with independent on/off control for each part when using Layer or Split modes. The Layer function enables two different tones to be combined across the entire keyboard, while the Split function divides the keyboard into upper and lower zones with separate tones assigned to each. A Duet function further enhances flexibility by splitting the keyboard into two identical registers, making it ideal for teaching or two-player use.

Registration memory allows you to save and instantly recall complete snapshots of your current settings, including tones, layers, splits, and effects. In addition to the onboard control knobs, the Piano Remote Controller within the CASIO MUSIC SPACE app provides detailed adjustment of tone and effect parameters. A built-in metronome offers a wide range of patterns, from basic click and bell sounds to 20 different drum styles, with tempo adjustable either numerically in BPM or via traditional tempo markings such as Moderato.

Connecting a Microphone / Microphone Effects

Connect a microphone to the standard phone MIC IN jack (TS phone) and hear vocals through the PX-S6000’s built-in speakers. Use the Hall Simulator/Reverb to naturally blend vocals with the digital piano sound, while 25 built-in Microphone Effects provide additional enhancement and creative vocal processing.

Headphone Mode

Headphone Mode automatically optimises the sound when listening through headphones, delivering a more natural, speaker-like listening experience.

Audio Recorder

Record performances as standard WAV audio files to a commercially available USB flash drive for playback on a computer or other device. DSP effects and microphone input, including Microphone Effects, are recorded exactly as heard.

MIDI Recorder

Capture performances as MIDI song data for playback directly from the digital piano — ideal for lessons and practice. Songs can also be saved to a USB flash drive as standard MIDI files (SMF) for use with a DAW or other electronic instruments.
